Overview

The US-Sino Pathway Program (USPP) offers all the advantages of a traditional foundation program. Immersed in a series English-language preparation courses, USPP students learn sophisticated research and study techniques, how to utilize information technology, how to engage actively in classroom seminars, and how to give powerful academic presentations. They also learn how to manage their time and resources in order to achieve the best possible outcome in some of American’s most prestigious universities.

In addition to mastering these foundational skills, USPP students earn academic credit in four major areas: Progressive English, American Studies, General Education, and Essential Courses. Each course is designed to complement the others, and the whole curriculum is designed to prepare students for the widest possible range of majors. Students who successfully complete the program earn 32 college credits and are guaranteed admission to a partnering school.

USPP students are prepared for the social and cultural challenges of US college life as well. At the heart of the USPP is the Summer Bridge experience. The Summer Bridge builds on the knowledge and skills learned in China while introducing students to US culture, helping students acquire the confidence and experience necessary to join their peers as second-year students.
