Admission Process

Students are admitted to the USPP program and progress to their school of choice in 3 steps:

  1. Fill out a USPP application and return it to one of 8 Kaplan Education Centers located in China.

A program counselor will review the program requirements with you and administer a test to assess your English language skills. A minimum high school GPA of 2.5 is required for admission.

  2. Begin your studies in the USPP program.

You will take courses in several subject areas—including a comprehensive English for Academic Purposes course—and receive counseling about your academic, career, and life goals. Students who successfully complete the USPP program are guaranteed admission to a participating university.

  3. Attend the Summer Bridge in the US.

Once you’ve completed the Summer Bridge, you’ll join your peers as a second-year student at one of four great schools.
